Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) Combat Forces Command (CFC) Space Delta 7 (DEL 7) 75th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Squadron (75 ISRS) at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for a Senior Security Manager (GG-0080-12, GS-12 equivalent).

Description:
As a Security Program Specialist within Space Delta 7's 75th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Squadron (75 ISRS)-the Space Force's first and only Target Materials Production unit-you will provide comprehensive security oversight across Schriever and Peterson Space Force Bases to protect vital personnel, information, and mission-critical resources from espionage, terrorism, and unauthorized disclosure. Operating within a high-stakes Combat Forces Command environment, you will execute and manage all personnel, physical, and information security requirements for the squadron, assuming direct responsibility for current facility compliance while proactively planning for future organizational transitions. By building and maintaining collaborative relationships with local installation security personnel, you will serve as the central authority for resolving complex security issues, safeguarding information vital to national defense, and ensuring the overall operational security integrity of this pioneering national security mission.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive professional with a deep understanding of military organizational structures, functional responsibilities, and the specialized personnel and manning programs essential for mission success. This individual possesses advanced proficiency in modern office automation software, enabling them to seamlessly manage daily operations and develop complex, data-driven documents, spreadsheets, and reports. Operating with exceptional integrity, they have a proven command of security practices necessary to safeguard classified information in high-stakes environments. They are a skilled problem-solver, adept at conducting rigorous fact-finding and analysis to design and execute concrete action plans that resolve administrative and operational challenges. A superior communicator, the candidate uses tact, diplomacy, and courtesy to present critical facts, manage key organizational programs, and collaborate across commands, all while demonstrating an elite ability to prioritize tasks, organize workloads, and consistently meet strict deadlines.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization.
2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
3. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information in a complex security environment.
4. Knowledge of structure, programs, and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues.
5. Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems.
6. Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI access.
  • A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
  • SFPC conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DoD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification.

  • Incentive is not authorized.
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
  • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
