INDUS supports the planning, coordination, and installation activities of Combat System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C5I) Systems in aircraft carriers, and other strike group or strike force units (including but not limited to LHA, LHD, LPD, and other L-Class units). Our team is directly responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, and execution of New Construction (SCN) testing and modernization efforts in support of the Modernization and Installation Department (N Department), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD).
Reporting to the Program Manager, the FF(X) Combat Systems Test Manager will be the primary point of contact in direct support of FF(X) program development, production planning and execution, and system installation and testing to includethe development and establishment of FF(X) Production Test Team supporting PEO IWS 80 Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) Manager on behalf of the Modernization and Installation Department (N Department), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD) on the CVN/L-Class Support Services contract. This position is located in Pascagoula, MS.

What You'll Do
- Demonstrate comprehensive familiarity with various U.S. Navy shipboard combat systems and the foundational principles of new construction testing, including prior support experience on both the LCS and FFG programs
- Serve as the primary technical conduit between PEO IWS, PMS 410, SUPSHIP Gulf Coast, NSWC PHD, and industry representatives to ensure alignment on requirements, schedule coordination, and rapid resolution of emergent or time-sensitive issues.
- Conduct technical reviews of planning materials and ship drawings to verify space layouts and ensure all installations comply with baseline configurations, NAVSEA standards, and Combat Systems (CS) certification requirements.
- Develop and maintain Test Sequence Networks (TSNs) and critical paths; review Alteration Installation Team (AIT) test packages and lead at-sea test planning to resolve issues impacting underway requirements.
- Direct, manage, and observe Test Team shipboard and at-sea testing, including deconfliction of production schedules and AIT requirements.
- Lead on-site efforts during new construction and Industrial Post Delivery Availability (IPDA/PDA), including development of Compartment Release Schedules and coordination of required support services (HVAC, power, calibrations, HM&E).
- Provide comprehensive weekly status reports detailing installation progress, risk evaluations, and proposed courses of action (COAs), while contributing to N60 Division metrics, lessons learned, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Document and report any discrepancies in material condition or availability prior to or during installation.
- Function safely in a shipboard environment, including climbing, confined space entry, and lifting up to 50 lbs, while maintaining real-time situational awareness through regular physical vessel walk-throughs.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
- Eight (8) years of experience in relevant shipboard combat systems, test & evaluation, or ship integration experience requiredin a U.S. Navy or similar DoD environment.
- Ability to travel and work aboard ship.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan workload and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to clearly and concisely articulate technical subject matter in both written and verbal formats.
- Other duties as assigned, including proposal development support.
- Experience with standard Combat Systems engineering principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and systems integration aboard U.S. Navy ships.
- Comfortable presenting work progress and status updates in meetings with senior program personnel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute project activities on schedule.
- Demonstrated self-initiative and ability to effectively multi-task.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must have an active U.S. Passport or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire date.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Future Frigate (FF(X)) and Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Integrated Combat Systems (ICS) suite.
- Prior U.S. Navy experience as a Fire Controlman or Electronics Technician aboard Littoral Combat Ships is highly desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities.
- Travel Required ~10% travel required, including to CONUS and OCONUS locations and underway travel.
