Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate Aerospace Management Systems Division (AFLCMC/ESA). The Aerospace Management Systems Division programs, develops, delivers, and sustains air traffic management, CNS/ATM avionics expertise, and weather sensing and forecast capabilities, enabling military, civil, allied, and Foreign Military Sales customers to achieve their mission.
The selected candidate will provide Systems Engineering support that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of systems engineering to the acquisition process.
This is a full time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.
Responsibilities
This position provides engineering support in the design, operation, and sustainment of Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) and associated components throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from requirements analysis through system disposal.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in DoD OR

Responsibilities
This position provides engineering support in the design, operation, and sustainment of Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) and associated components throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from requirements analysis through system disposal.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Support systems engineering activities throughout the full DoD acquisition lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture design, integration, testing, fielding, sustainment, and system disposal.
- Translate operational Air Force and DoD user needs into detailed system requirements, technical specifications, and traceable engineering solutions.
- Develop and maintain system architectures, interface definitions, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts supporting Air Traffic Control (ATC), Command & Control (C2), communications, networking, tactical data links, and radio systems.
- Develop verification, validation, and test strategies to ensure system performance, interoperability, and compliance with program requirements.
- Conduct engineering analyses, trade studies, market research, root cause investigations, and technical assessments to evaluate system performance, cost, schedule, risk, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management activities throughout program execution.
- Assist with the development of acquisition documentation, Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), Risk Management Plans (RMPs), Technology Readiness Assessments (TRAs), and other engineering artifacts supporting RDT&E and procurement efforts.
- Provide technical support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and collaborate across engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, configuration management, program management, and operational stakeholders.
- Evaluate contractor proposals and technical solutions for feasibility, compatibility, interoperability, technical merit, and cost effectiveness, providing recommendations to Government leadership.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, briefings, presentations, and recommendations to support program reviews, technical decision-making, and acquisition milestones.

- Architecture development and implementation
- Verification and Validation (V&V)
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Configuration Management
- Network architectures and embedded systems
- Cloud deployment and virtualization
- Technical data package development and sustainment
- DoD acquisition processes
Technologies:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Sharepoint
- MBSE Tools (Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar)
- Requirements Management Tools (DOORS or equivalent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and present technical briefings and recommendations
