Job Description

As a Field Site Manager I, you will oversee the maintenance, servicing, repair, inspection, and overhaul of aircraft and/or aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness and safety. This role involves acting as the senior representative at the field site, managing on-site staff, and ensuring all customer issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures while driving operational excellence.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the senior company representative at the field site, ensuring all customer issues are resolved effectively.
  • Oversee and direct all field site operations to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement advanced field site strategies to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and internal company policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and program management to address technical issues and improvements.
  • Analyze maintenance and performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership on field site performance and improvements.
  • Resolve high-level technical and operational issues in collaboration with engineering and program management.
  • Mentor and develop field site staff to enhance their skills and performance.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of aviation experience.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Certification as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service.
  • Ability to understand and execute contract documents such as Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy on an approximate 60/60 rotation.


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master's degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.


Essential Functions:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to be on your feet for much of the work shift.
  • Significant portion of work involves hands-on aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Must be able to work in field environments, which may include hazardous conditions or loud environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
