- Electrical Component Analysis - Evaluate and qualify alternate replacements for obsolete electrical/electronic components using datasheets, specifications, supplier data, and engineering judgment.
- Obsolescence Forecasting - Perform proactive lifecycle monitoring using predictive tools, supplier/OEM surveys, and component surveillance systems to anticipate future risks.
- DMSMS Mitigation - Develop mitigation strategies, conduct business case analyses, and recommend resolution paths that balance cost, schedule, and technical impact.
- Technical Documentation - Prepare and support engineering reports, program deliverables, obsolescence plans, and customer-facing documentation.
- Project Engineering Leadership - Lead obsolescence-related activities across integrated product teams, ensuring alignment with program objectives and technical requirements.
- Systems Knowledge - Apply understanding of aerospace and defense system architectures to recommend suitable new or alternate components.
- Risk Identification - Identify, assess, and mitigate obsolescence risks across multiple product lines and engineering disciplines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with engineering, supply chain, quality, and program stakeholders to drive coordinated resolution strategies.
- SOW & Change Management - Evaluate impacts of SOW changes and support negotiation of modifications to deliverables, resources, cost, and schedule.
- Proposal & Planning Support - Contribute to cost estimation, planning inputs, and execution strategies for engineering project activities.
- Resource Planning - Plan, identify, and coordinate engineering resources required throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects.
- Performance Tracking - Compare actual results to baseline plans to drive lessons learned, process improvements, and program efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in
- Master's (7+ yrs) or PhD (4+ yrs) also accepted
- ABET accreditation preferred

- Strong knowledge of (resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, transformers, etc.)
- Ability to research and validate alternate components using datasheets and technical resources
- Demonstrated success working within

- Strong understanding of and lifecycle management
- Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or complex engineering systems
- Familiarity with predictive obsolescence tools and supplier/OEM engagement
- Background in project engineering, IPT leadership, or cross-functional coordination
- Experience supporting legacy systems and new product development
- Salary Range: $135,000-165,000 **depending on experience**
