Security Specialist

McLaughlin Research Corporation has an opening for a full-time Security Specialist I position supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport in the area of Physical Security.

Duties include:

• Conduct physical and traditional (non-cyber) security assessments to assess classified labs, storage containers and spaces, computer work stations, and classified work areas to verify and report areas of compliance and noncompliance.
• Provide assessments to the Government Inspection Lead noting areas of compliance and noncompliance verbally and in writing
• Conduct vetting checks for visitors
• Conduct RAMs (Random Anti-Terrorism Measure)
• Assist in discrepancies/investigations
• Assist in inspections/events
• Some administrative duties

Job Requirements

• Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
