Work You'll Do
As a PROJECT - Security Engineer III on the Cyber Defense & Resilience team, you will be responsible for...
- Supporting the day-to-day performance, availability, and security of OT-focused network and monitoring solutions in classified and mission-critical environments
- Assessing network and server infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization, hardening, and operational improvement across Linux-based environments, including CentOS, Red Hat, Rocky, and RedHawk
- Automating system baselines, patching, and administrative processes using tools such as Ansible, Bash, and Kickstart to improve consistency and reduce downtime
- Collaborating with engineering, development, and security teams to support DevSecOps practices and maintain alignment with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and Risk Management Framework requirements
- Troubleshooting Linux, network, and infrastructure issues; maintaining technical documentation; and reporting progress, findings, and improvement opportunities to technical and management stakeholders

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalence experience required
- Active Secret security clearance required
- Must be local to Huntsville, AL and able to come onsite 5 days a week.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
- 12+ years of total professional experience
- 5+ years of experience with the following:
- System/network administration for high-security or government programs, including team and technical leadership.
- Hands-on experience administering and automating Red Hat Linux environments in production settings.
- Enterprise Active Directory, Certificate Authority, DNS/DHCP.
- Experience meeting DoD standards for STIG compliance, ATO, RMF, and vulnerability management.
- Understanding of DevSecOps automation (Ansible, Git, Bash) and monitoring solution integration
- Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
