Job Description
Responsibilities
Provide technical reviews of engineering design and implementation plans for network infrastructure modernization to ensure alignment with established architecture.
Oversee LAN, MAN, and WAN survey, design, and implementation while leading integration and test of large-scale networks.
Assist in developing emerging network architectures, standards, and specifications.
Analyze and assess LAN, MAN, and WAN hardware and recommend performance and equipment specifications.
Evaluate current and emerging network technologies for cost, readiness, compatibility, and usability.
Provide technical direction for IT projects including high-availability and virtualization.
Lead collaborative efforts with developers, designers, product owners, and partners to develop prototype technical solutions across hardware and software.
Collaborate with agencies and programs as a solutions consultant to determine optimal cloud solutions.
Evaluate environments for migration, work in sandboxes, and architect solutions tailored to Army needs.
Coordinate solution design and architecture with project teams to align with Army projects.
Work with implementation teams to provide technical guidance and set implementation priorities.
Coordinate technical execution of transformation projects and design, develop, and implement an enterprise data management solution to enhance operations.
Lead customer engagements to determine requirements and provide technical updates to the Product Manager.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and IT systems design and integration.
Desired minimum 5 years of experience with virtualization and cloud environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
One of the following or equivalent: CCNA, JNCIA, CCNP, JCNP.
