Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Huntsville, AL
Overview:
An organization is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the translation of
business and user needs into structured product requirements within an Agile delivery
environment. This role partners with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to
ensure solutions are aligned with operational needs, user experience, and overall product
objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the collection and documentation of user and business requirements,
supporting activities from prioritization through concept development and user
story creation
• Work closely with product owners and delivery teams to support backlog creation,
refinement, and prioritization while representing the end-user perspective
• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify functional
and business requirements
• Emphasize usability and user experience in requirements development to support
adoption and engagement
• Analyze and decompose complex business processes into deliverables such as
workflows, concepts of operation, story maps, and user stories
• Document business rules, process flows, and supporting artifacts to ensure
alignment across functional and technical teams
• Provide analytical support across initiatives by evaluating how technology solutions
impact current operations and future business environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are clear,
actionable, and aligned with delivery objectives
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (additional experience
may be substituted for degree requirements)
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documentation and
requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple options in variable
situations
• Intermediate analytical and quantitative skill set
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience:
• Exposure to Agile or iterative development environments
• Experience supporting requirements lifecycle activities, including backlog
management and user story development
• Familiarity with workflow documentation, business process modeling, or
requirements tools
