OVERVIEW:
As a Database Analyst , you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. This role supports an intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO and requires an active TS/SCI clearance .

As a Database Analyst , you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. This role supports an intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO and requires an active TS/SCI clearance .
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and support PostgreSQL database infrastructure.
- Manage the functionality and efficiency of server environments running one or more operating systems.
- Maintain database integrity and security, including configuring role-based access control (RBAC) and administrative/service accounts.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, standards, and procedures.
- Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for computing resource allocation.
- Develop and implement database testing strategies and document results.
- Provide performance tuning recommendations and end-user training.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant database technologies.
- Evaluate open-source and vendor database tools and participate in modernization and migration efforts.
- Collaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.
- Hands-on experience administering and tuning PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience implementing PostgreSQL high-availability solutions.
- Experience monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts.
- Experience with database backup, restore, migration, and snapshot technologies/strategies.
- Knowledge of building and maintaining efficient database table structures for transactional and data warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning.
- Experience migrating Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Oracle database administration experience is a plus.
