Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes Managing comprehensive facility operations, life support programs, and complex contracting requirements for specialized military training installations. Serving as a principal advisor for high-priority training facilities. Directing comprehensive facility maintenance programs, planning construction and upgrade requirements, forecasting budgetary needs. Providing strategic logistical guidance to senior leadership and higher headquarters. Managing Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM), experience with Military Construction projects (MILCON).

Additional information
- Manages the allocation of space, offices, equipment and range maintenance, coordinating with various activities and tenants.
- Serves as the principal advisor to the Assistant Chief of Staff, Engineer and the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist on all matters relating to the status and use of the Special Forces Waterborne Training Facilities, Key West, FL.
- Responsible for the supervision of the basic life support needs, and all aspects of facilities management for the Key West facilities
- Plans construction or upgrade of facilities for new or modified requirements, adapts designs to local terrain, and tracks projects through Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and Naval Facilities (NAVFAC).
- Plans, organizes and directs on-site inspections during maintenance, renovation or replacement projects to ensure work is following approved plans and specifications.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification/training.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement and you may have to travel away from your permanent duty station up to 5% of the time.
- The duties of this position may require the incumbent to carry a cell phone and be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to #45 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
