Title: Bilingual Mainframe Specialist - Security Cleared

Location: Montreal, QC/Remote

Duration: 6 Months (Part-time)

Pay Rate: CAD 80-110/hr. Inc

Introduction

We are actively seeking professionals to support upcoming initiatives within infrastructure teams. This role is ideal for individuals with strong experience across enterprise mainframe environments who are looking to contribute on a project and advisory basis.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• 7 years of experience working in mainframe environments
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and core mainframe operations
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and production environments
• Bilingual in English and French
• Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in client-facing environments
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

• Experience with GDPS (Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex)
• Exposure to mainframe cryptography including encryption and key management
• Familiarity with tools such as CICS, DB2, IMS, or WebSphere on z/OS
• Experience working with IBM environments or IBM Expert Labs

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

• Support and maintain mainframe environments (z/OS or equivalent) across a variety of enterprise clients
• Contribute to system upgrades, performance optimization, and infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application, and business stakeholders
• Provide technical expertise and advisory support across multiple mainframe-related projects
• Assist in ensuring system reliability, availability, and security across environments
