Job Description
Provides moderately complex technical assembly and testing with electromechanical assemblies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
* Provides hardware/technical support to systems, including upgrades
* Installs, maintains and upgrades communication systems
* Combines subassemblies into final assemblies, components, or apparatus *
* Applies written standard procedures and working technical knowledge to the preventive or simple corrective maintenance of systems *
* Assembles and tests power/data cable assemblies (multiwire and coax) *
* Works from drawings, diagrams, rough sketches, or formal assembly procedures and process control documents to assemble quality components or final products *
* Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs moderately complex problems *
* May prepare and generate written and/or oral reports on a regular basis

Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of related work experience
- US Citizenship required; Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance at the SECRET level
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds above the waist onto the back of a truck
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing and spreadsheet programs
- Must be able to use standard assembly tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, socket wrenches, and basic power tools *
- Must be able to follow instructions, written or verbal *
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of electronics training from technical trade school or military technical school preferred
- Familiarity with multimeters
- Patient, reliable and hard-working
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
- Soldering experience/certification a plus
