Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 26 Fleet Quality Inspector B's for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting or working with aircraft electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, or related electrical installations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality Inspection experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing product or process inspections.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Executive Fleet Quality Inspector will be a part of the Client team specializing in Executive Fleet aircraft located in San Antonio, Texas. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

  • Performs inspections of electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, and related aircraft electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
  • This inspector implements quality assurance and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
  • Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing reviews of work for compliance with requirements.
  • Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished.
  • Communicates deficiencies to proper persons.
  • Maintains Quality Assurance files.
  • Documents results of all inspections.


Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Electrical inspection experience on aircraft systems, avionics, wiring, or integrated electrical components.
  • Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections.
  • Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or sufficient experience to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate.
  • Experience with Client 7XX airplane and/or Military aircraft.
  • Experience with Executive Fleet aircraft.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
  • Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms.
  • Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required.
  • Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
  • Read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material.
  • Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities.
  • Occasional (1 to 3 hrs.) finger manipulation.
  • On occasion, a 2-person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs.).
  • Frequent walking on flat surfaces.
  • Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces.
  • Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces.
  • Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands.
  • Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/stoop, lying down, and operate foot controls for an extended period of time.
  • Occasional contact with metals.
  • Frequent exposure to noise.


REQUIRED EDUCATION

Accredited High School Diploma/GED.

WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.
