Job Description

Duties

As a IT PROGRAM MANAGER (PROJMGT/PLCYPLN) at the NH-2210-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Leads the command's executive communications team, delivering comprehensive IT support to General and Flag Officers at Headquarters USTRANSCOM
  • Leads the Communications Travel Team, delivering robust and reliable mobile C4 capabilities in direct support of the Commander (TCCC).
  • Oversees audio/visual and teleconference technical support for USTRANSCOM, Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS), and the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC), enabling effective collaboration across commands.
  • Manages the USTRANSCOM IT Service Desk, serving as the primary point of contact for all IT service requests and inquiries, and ensuring timely resolution of user issues.
  • Directs the management of IT assets and projects, ensuring life-cycle efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • This is a cybersecurity position, must attain and maintain the appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline Certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held, within six months
  • Incumbent may occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays
Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-IV , if you fulfill the following qualifications:One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
  • Partnering with end users, mission owners, and technical teams to ensure User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) solutions are fully aligned with requirements.
  • Overseeing and coordinating processes and projects to effectively allocate, integrate, and optimize critical IT resources across an organization.
  • Overseeing the measurement and analysis of UI/UX performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance usability and effectiveness.
  • Leading change management strategies for UI/UX enhancements, including comprehensive user training and clear, proactive communications.
  • Experience with Department of Defense and joint military IT systems, with a strong focus on security, interoperability, and compliance.

    Other notes:
    A graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desirable. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications are highly desirable.
