Job Description

Assistant DTRA Liaison Officer (ALNO)

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance to be considered.

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

The DTRA ALNO assigned to the Pentagon and National Guard Bureau (NGB) serves in a full-time role at the center of Department of Defense operations. This position requires a flexible, highly motivated, and experienced military staff officer capable of operating at the pace of global events to ensure mission success. The DTRA ALNO will be required to dressin business attire.

DTRA's mission is to deter, prevent, and counter weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and emerging threats, and to prevail against WMD-armed adversaries.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Assistant DTRA Liaison Officer (ALNO): $135,000-$150,000. Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Assistant DTRA Liaison Officer (ALNO) Responsibilities Include:
  • Support senior leaders in shaping agency vision, goals, and objectives
  • Coordinate with interagency stakeholders through on-site integration in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Ensure rapid access to a broad range of DTRA capabilities, enhances situational awareness, and provides informed recommendations on agency actions to counter CWMD threats and associated networks.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Assistant DTRA Liaison Officer (ALNO) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of eight years of military staff experience in a joint environment, with exposure to areas such as intelligence, special operations, combat arms, CBRN, joint operations planning, space, cyber, MISO, and/or acquisition.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting plans, requirements, executive correspondence, or publication-quality products.
  • Experience with DTRA, Pentagon staff, or interagency staff, with knowledge of adversary weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical, and/or biological) and/or advanced delivery systems.
  • Experience briefing senior Pentagon, interagency, or military flag officers.
  • Master's degree highly desired
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase II and/or Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) designation highly desired
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
