Summary:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
• Requires expertise in software development, algorithm development, software testing, and requirements analysis.
• Responsibilities include designing, coding, debugging, and integrating software.
• Develop data queries and implement algorithms.
• Involves technical team leadership, collaborating with systems and hardware engineers.
• Improve documentation and development process standards.
• Key skills: Python, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, containerization with Kubernetes or AWS, cloud-native application deployment on AWS, Agile methodologies, and Gitlab CI/CD pipeline automation.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 14+ years
• Total Compensation: $305k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design, code, debug, and modify new and existing software to add features, correct errors, or improve performance.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple and complex data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components; perform quality control on team products.
• Provide specific input to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and requirements analysis.
• Serve as a technical team lead, overseeing software development teams and ensuring adherence to processes.
• Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and ensure operational specifications are met.
• Provide recommendations for and implement improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
• Utilize key skills such as Python, Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices.
• Apply expertise in Software Testing, Requirements Analysis, Algorithm Development, and Systems Engineering.
