Serco is proud to partner with the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AF AMS) in support of our nation's defense. The AF AMS is a Field Operating Agency (FOA) of the Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF). AFAMS manages AF Modeling and Simulation (M&S) requirements and implements M&S overarching policy and guidance. Per AF Mission Directive (AFMD) 56, AFAMS advocates AF-wide requirements for new or improved M&S systems, science and technology improvements, innovation, and transition of capabilities, and aligns it with Department of Defense (DoD) information technology strategy to support a future state for the M&S community. AFAMS, as the HAF A3 Point of Contact (POC) for M&S, is responsible for integrating M&S capabilities to support the Warfighter. AF AMS, partnered with the Director of Training and Readiness (A3T) at the Pentagon, leads the HAF effort to organize enterprise solutions to build an efficient foundation to achieve readiness. Additionally, AF AMS has cybersecurity oversight responsibilities and makes recommendations for approvals to operate/connect for Operational Training and Test Infrastructure (OTTI) systems on behalf of AF/A3T and SAF/CIO A6.

Under government direction, provide support services in collaboration with AFAMS Requirements Managers (RM) for: Air, Space and Cyber Constructive Environment (ASCCE); Simulator Common, Architecture, Requirements and Standards (SCARS); and emerging synthetic environments as identified by the MSR Division Chief. Within the ASCCE portfolio, this includes the sub-components of: Command and Control Simulation Environment for Training (C2SET); Air Force Modeling and Simulation Training Toolkit (AFMSTT); Air and Space Constructive Environment - Information Operations Suite (ACE-IOS); and Air Force Synthetic Environment for Reconnaissance and Surveillance (AFSERS).

In this role you will
Under government direction, provide support services in collaboration with AFAMS Requirements Managers (RM) for: Air, Space and Cyber Constructive Environment (ASCCE); Simulator Common, Architecture, Requirements and Standards (SCARS); and emerging synthetic environments as identified by the MSR Division Chief. Requirements Management and Identification:
- Assist RMs with operational training requirements collection.
- Assist RMs with conducting M&S capabilities gap analysis.
- Assist RMs with developing M&S requirements to overcome capability gaps.
- Based on government direction, track and report documented stakeholder requirements using government identified system(s).
- Support RM coordination with stakeholders and development organizations to develop requirements documents including, but not limited to, those required by the AFAMS identified Requirements Management processes and workflows.
- Assist RMs with requirements processing.
- Provide a monthly requirements summary status report for each portfolio.
- Coordinate with AFAMS Multi-Domain Interoperability Leads to ensure developed requirements foster Joint, Coalition and Partner Nation interoperability.
- Determine opportunities to leverage enterprise solutions within the AFAMS RM portfolio.
Stakeholder and user community engagements:
- Support stakeholder and user community working group planning and execution.
- Draft comprehensive agendas of recommended topics.
- Draft detailed minutes.
- Track and report action items including stakeholder coordination.
- Provide quarterly report on action items including status and recommendations for resolution.
- Support RM coordination with stakeholders and development organizations to implement support agreements including, but not limited to: Memorandums of Agreement (MOA); Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), and User Agreements (UA).
Decision support:
- Based on government direction, develop decision support documents and presentations.
- Provide reports and analyses during all phases of the AFAMS identified Requirements Management processes and workflows.
- Develop documents and presentations to inform AFAMS personnel, Air Force leadership, and relevant Joint organizations regarding he AFAMS RM portfolio.
- Assist in developing and coordinating a variety of messages targeting specific current and emerging M&S stakeholder viewpoints.
- Ensure all relevant requirements data is stored and available for use in government identified KM systems.
Senior M&S Advisor:
- Provide background advisory experience from AFAMS' experience.
- Provide background advisory experience from Air Force experience.
- Provide analysis and reporting support for monthly (MSR) and quarterly (PMR) reports.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- An active DoD Top-Secret security clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated M&S experience and expertise in LVC simulation.
- Knowledge of the operational training environment, the USAF MAJCOM structure, Systems Engineering and requirements development.
- Knowledge of AF and M&S policy and OTTI.
- Knowledge of JTT, Army STE, JSE, NCTE and emerging capabilities.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- DAU Requirements Management Level B Training Completion or its equivalent as determined by the AFAMS/MSR Division Chief.
- NGE Effort - recent fifth generation operational experience and familiarity in Joint Simulation Environment.
