Serco is proud to partner with the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AF AMS) in support of our nation's defense. The AF AMS is a Field Operating Agency (FOA) of the Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF). AFAMS manages AF Modeling and Simulation (M&S) requirements and implements M&S overarching policy and guidance. Per AF Mission Directive (AFMD) 56, AFAMS advocates AF-wide requirements for new or improved M&S systems, science and technology improvements, innovation, and transition of capabilities, and aligns it with Department of Defense (DoD) information technology strategy to support a future state for the M&S community. AFAMS, as the HAF A3 Point of Contact (POC) for M&S, is responsible for integrating M&S capabilities to support the Warfighter. AF AMS, partnered with the Director of Training and Readiness (A3T) at the Pentagon, leads the HAF effort to organize enterprise solutions to build an efficient foundation to achieve readiness. Additionally, AF AMS has cybersecurity oversight responsibilities and makes recommendations for approvals to operate/connect for Operational Training and Test Infrastructure (OTTI) systems on behalf of AF/A3T and SAF/CIO A6.

In this role you will:
  • Based on government direction, design and develop websites, Communities of Practice, and collaborative tools to support KM practices.
  • Provide basic site and content administration support by managing permissions and creating and maintaining sites, workspaces, workflows, lists and libraries.
  • Interview stakeholders to gather their website requirements for government review and approval.
  • Participate in projects and requirements gathering with end users across divisions to create, enhance, and improve their Teams and SharePoint services and group sites.
  • Generate and analyze SharePoint Usage Reports for number of hits and unique users. Report will provide daily statistics and consolidated counts by month.
  • Help develop and maintain Teams and SharePoint training, guidelines, and applicable policies.
  • Provide practical Teams and SharePoint "How-Tos" that save time, increase productivity, and improve the way people accomplish basic SharePoint tasks.
  • Analyze current KM applications (internal and external to the AFAMS) to identify gaps in current applications prohibiting achievement of KM goals.
  • Create stakeholder website on existing template with basic site and content administration support using current DoD/AFAMS approved and licensed SharePoint product.
  • Follow directives from the Information Assurance security office to ensure all systems meet DoD and AF security guidelines and remediated accordingly.
  • Maintain and administer Teams and SharePoint services including, content hub and excel services.


To be successful in this role you will have:
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's Degree & 8-10 years of relevant experience or 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge Management Certification from a recognized KM agency.


Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Master's Degree & 5+ years of relevant experience
  • DoD training systems and M&S model application
