Sr. Functional Analyst
Location: New Orleans, LA (Remote)

Job Description:
The Senior Functional Analyst - SAP GL requires Federal accounting and extensive SAP GL/ USSGL experience as well as SAP-Funds Management and SAP-Accounts Payable experience. Candidates must be able to react to changing federal statues and US Treasury mandates and implement the required changes. This is a client facing role that requires frequent communication with client leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting the client with whitepapers and implementing required system changes. Ability to gather requirements and work closely with technical counterparts to ensure technical solutions meet all functional requirements. The Senior Functional Analyst will perform complex functional GL configuration changes and maintenance, log SAP OSS notes and follow up on resolutions, perform root cause analysis on Tier 2 and 3 issues, log and manage assigned tickets in ServiceNow and escalate issues and report status to management as required. Must have experience writing and executing test plans. Must have strong analytical and communication skills, including experience interacting with client teams and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Previous experience with USDA systems and production support experience is preferred. ServiceNow experience is desired. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of SAP GL experience.

- Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements and define problems and develop plans and requirements in the subject matter area for moderately complex to complex systems related to information systems architecture, networking; telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management/electronic analysis, software, lifecycle management, software development methodologies, and modeling and simulation.
- Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.
- Identify resources required for each task.
- Possess requisite knowledge and expertise so recognized in the professional community that the government is able to qualify the individual as an expert in the field for an actual task order.
- Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise.
