Duties
As an ITSPEC (INFOSEC/NETWORK), GS-2210-11, you will:

Selected applicant must have the ability to obtain 1B4 AFSC within 1 year of appointment.
NOTE:
*PCS may be authorized.
*Must be able to obtain IAT Level 2 certification within 1 year of appointment.
*Applicants must have attained a minimum score of 70 on the Electrical portion of the ASVAB within two years, and also attained a minimum passing score of 70 on the Electronic Data Processing Test (EDPT).
*Employment is contingent upon applicant being able to pass a background investigation and possess a Top Secret SCI clearance.
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Additional Requirements:
Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a the 108th Operations Group position compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.
108th Operations Group -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1)
Qualifications
General Experience:
Must have experience with the following:

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. The degree must be in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree and provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

As an ITSPEC (INFOSEC/NETWORK), GS-2210-11, you will:
- Identify, analyze threats, and vulnerabilities to the systems
- Review, analyze, and validate certification and accreditation packages
- Ensure computer software designs address information system security requirements
- Protect and maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of information system
- Manage the Network Security Program
- Evaluate unusual circumstances to recognize and define potential vulnerabilities and selects and oversee the installation of physical and technical security barriers
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
