Job Description:
As a Business Operations Analyst within the FSA System Enterprise, you will engage in a multifaceted role that is pivotal to the operations and maintenance of financial processing platforms and data engines. Your responsibilities will include system verification, which ensures the integrity and accuracy of the system's functionality. You will also tackle complex problem-solving tasks, providing solutions to operational challenges. Your role extends to generating system and ad hoc reports, which are crucial for decision-making and operational assessments. Additionally, you will manage communications that are integral to the smooth functioning of the Department of Education's financial aid programs.
Your day-to-day activities will see you working within a tiered operations model, where your analytical skills will be put to the test. You will perform in-depth analysis and research, manage incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Handling client escalations with professionalism will be part of your responsibilities, as will managing interfaces and conducting financial reconciliations. As you grow in this role, you will develop the necessary skills to support both technical and functional areas, particularly in data analysis. You will be expected to conduct thorough research and analysis of issues and requests throughout the delivery life cycle, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
To excel in this role, you will be involved in various tasks that require a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach. You will support service transition and mobilization, which are critical during periods of change or system upgrades. Your involvement in system change impact assessments will help identify potential risks and opportunities, ensuring that transitions are seamless. You will also contribute to defining security requirements, safeguarding sensitive information and system integrity. Furthermore, your input will be valuable in business process design, where you will help to streamline operations for optimal performance. Exposure to project management tools, data analysis software, and financial reconciliation processes will be beneficial. Prior experience in incident management, customer service, and client relations will position you for success in this dynamic and impactful role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support system verification, problem solving, and ad hoc reporting.
- Communicate with operations and maintenance for the Digital Customer Care's Specialty Program System.
- Perform analysis, research, incident management, and customer service.
