The Electronics Assembly & Test Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting the production of complex electro-mechanical and electronic products. This role supports pilot production and prototype manufacturing activities, working from engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions to ensure high-quality product builds and successful transition of new products into production.

Job Description
The Electronics Assembly & Test Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting the production of complex electro-mechanical and electronic products. This role supports pilot production and prototype manufacturing activities, working from engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions to ensure high-quality product builds and successful transition of new products into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic products, and support equipment.
- Perform electronic and mechanical assembly operations on assemblies, subassemblies, and ordnance systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
- Operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, meters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Generate and document test results and reports.
- Utilize precision measurement and assembly tools such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and hand tools.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of assembly and test issues.
- Assist with transitioning new products from development into production.
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support overtime and weekend work as required.
- 2-year Technical Degree or minimum 2 years of experience performing related technician duties in a production or prototype environment.
- Experience using electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with J-STD-001 requirements.
- Experience conducting tests using oscilloscopes, meters, and other electronic test equipment.
- Ability to use mechanical assembly and measurement tools such as micrometers and torque wrenches.
- Precision and fine motor skills for micro/nano-scale fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic and electrical systems.
- Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) experience.
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Understanding of basic machining techniques.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Ability to provide feedback to support design, fabrication, and test improvements.
- Experience in both production and prototype manufacturing environments.
- 2-year Technical Degree or minimum 2 years of related technician experience in a production or prototype environment.
- Technical degree plus 2 years of related experience preferred.
