Job Summary: Quality Assurance Engineer - Lockheed Martin, Grand Prairie, TX

Join Lockheed Martin as a Quality Assurance Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX, supporting the high-impact PrSM Program. Responsibilities
- Lead and support quality initiatives across Lockheed Martin sites and supplier locations
- Facilitate, coordinate, and execute complex projects to resolve recurring quality challenges
- Identify process gaps, implement solutions, and champion lean continuous improvement
- Travel to various sites and suppliers (up to 50%) to address program issues and ensure compliance
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams on all quality-related matters
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop robust inspection methods and work instructions
- Oversee non-conforming product disposition and conduct thorough failure investigations
- Develop inspection plans and perform First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards
Required Skills and Experience
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant quality engineering experience
- Advanced knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, FAR, DFAR, JSTD standards
- Strong background in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Expertise in developing and reviewing quality processes and performance metrics
- Demonstrated experience with non-conformance investigations and causal analysis tools
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to create inspection plans and perform AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Proven relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
- Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience
- Special process engineering or multi-commodity manufacturing expertise
- Experience in hardware source inspections, audit/surveillance, and using Apriso or SAP
- Process capability analysis, gage R&R, measurement system analysis
- Advanced communication and technical writing skills
