Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking RF Field Technicians to support the U.S. Navy's drone network build in San Diego, CA.We are seeking a technician to support the team with the integration and testing of critical network communication systems across various sites globally. Details below:
Clearance: Secret clearance
Location: San Diego, CA (On-site)
Travel: Up to 70% (CONUS/OCONUS)

Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site technical support for podded communication systems
- Serve as a technical liaison to supported military units and elements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including test plans and procedures
- Configure systems to support testing and prototype development
- Develop troubleshooting guidelines and workaround documentation
- Perform system and subsystem testing
- Review system specifications and provide feedback on development, testing, and network documentation
- Install and configure Windows and Linux servers and capture, deploy, and manage system images
- Manage and maintain DNS, Exchange, and Active Directory services
- Administer virtual environments
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure-such as switches, servers, and firewalls-and resolve network issues
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance (highly preferred)
- Bachelors degree with 4+ years of relevant network communications, test, and integration experience
- Must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time (CONUS/OCONUS)
- Tactical Data Link familiarity (e.g. CDL, TTNT, L-16, SADL, etc.) required.
- Live field testing, experience with military communication systems required.
- Working knowledge on network security devices (e.g. firewall, NGFW, IPS, IDS)
- Working knowledge on event management systems.
