Description:You will be the Quality Engineer Sr for the Quality Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting supplier quality across Lockheed Martin production sites.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer Sr you will be responsible for leading quality initiatives that enhance production floor performance and supplier compliance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites to establish new processes and enforce contractual requirements.
- Extract and analyze MRP data to generate actionable quality metrics and trend reports.
- Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives, including parts reviews and material review boards.
- Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO-9001/AS9100 and engineering specifications.
- Drive lean improvements to reduce waste and enhance production velocity.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in STEM, or equivalent years of experience.
Must be a US Citizen and have ability to obtain a clearance.
Ability to travel both domestic and international for extended periods.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Electrical, mechanical or quality engineering experience performing in-depth data mining, analyzing and actionable metrics creation.
Experience with developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to determine product conformance as well as develop and apply quality test, inspection methods and work instructions.
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools.
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.
SAP and / or Apriso application experience.
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience with supplier qualification (LMID, NADCAP, etc.).
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in STEM.
Special Process Engineering experience.
Production floor quality systems experience is highly desired.
Experience with use of manufacturing, inspection gages or measuring equipment.
Experience working with U.S. Government customers and suppliers.
Thorough knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations.
MS Excel subject matter expert.
Experience with Tableau.
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.
Demonstrated understanding of quality audit techniques.
Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products.
Effective communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing.
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
Experience with development programs or research and development quality methodologies.
Demonstrated presentation skills.
