This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Supervisory/Management" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include exercising judgment, resourcefulness, and initiative in adapting and applying these guidelines to situations. Employee may be required to recommend and draft major or novel adaptations to these formal intelligence policy directives, instructions, regulations, and guidelines in order to accomplish assigned tasks. Employee makes decisions on the application of established procedures and initiates actions to support the goals and objectives of the AFSOC Commander and director. Responsible for planning and supervising the work of an element or work center for which the programs and objectives are clearly defined and the organizational structure fully established. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:Extensive knowledge of ISR programs, policies, and activities with a primary focus on air and special operations. Exceptional knowledge of Congressional, DoD, Joint, and USAF structures, missions, programs, policies and organizational relationships to facilitate effective advancement of Air Force capabilities. Exceptional knowledge of ELINT, sources, methodologies, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), and its applications to myriad operational planning and weapon systems modernization programs. Comprehensive knowledge of planning and budgeting processes. Mastery of advanced management and organizational principles and practices with exceptional ability to plan, organize and direct activities, and mentor and motivate an organization. Ability to assess, plan, organize and develop projects and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet requirements and organizational goals and priorities. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in order to articulate and advocate Air Force and command positions to effect desired actions and compliance with established. - Organize and manage development of intelligence war-fighting systems to address command war-fighting requirements.
