Job Description

Duties

  • You will serve as the lead technical expert on modern automation, low-code and development environments and other modern development environments.
  • You will develop and maintain applications such as Power Apps, leveraging both SharePoint Lists (canvas apps) and Microsoft Dataverse (model-driven apps) as data sources.
  • You will create and manage complex workflows and business process automations.
  • You will analyze existing processes and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement automation opportunities that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • You will advise MAHRS senior management on digital transformation and automation strategy, establishing and using new features, enhancements or initiatives to assess and improve M and RA public websites and private portals.
  • You will stay abreast of changes and state-of-the-art technology in DON and software arena and provide strategic advice to upper management relative to these fields.
  • You will analyze complex data to identify and recommend DON wide actions needed to improve web sites and private portals and utilize IT security principles, methods, and procedures to install and configure software.
  • You will develop business cases, project proposals, and technical roadmaps for new automation initiatives.
  • You will lead or personally develop requirements to adjust and improve availability, accuracy and ease of sites and portals for performance and workload measurement.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role of Systems Developer, proficiency level Intermediate. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • The incumbent participates in a continuous learning (CL) program as described in SECNAVINS 5239.20A and SECNAV M-5239.2.
  • An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous learning must be documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
  • The incumbent must obtain the required credentials within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for DCWF primary PD# 20678 role of Systems Developer proficiency level Intermediate.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience with platforms/applications such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate).
  • Experience developing automation solutions using both SharePoint Lists and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Experience supporting the full life cycle of systems and applications (inception, governance, modernization, implementation, and sustainment), user accounts, access controls, data, reports, dashboards and related requests.
AND Four competencies

  • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
