Summary
The MIL Corporation is seeking a Senior Process Analyst (Business Analysis, Senior Analyst) with federal accounting experience to work on a consulting team providing analysis and recommendations to a Federal Client in Washington, DC. This role involves working with clients to analyze and document current business policies and processes and developing updated policies and procedures to support internal operations.
This position currently requires a remote schedule with possible in-person meetings at the client site in Washington DC. The schedule is subject to change based on client, MIL, and contract requirements.
This position is currently unfunded and is being posted in anticipation of a future contract award and funding approval. We are proactively identifying and engaging with qualified candidates. While candidates may be contacted for pre-screening, any hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and final program requirements or client approval.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $90,000 - $115,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package. Responsibilities
The primary role for this position is providing analyses, assessments, and consulting recommendations related to financial management activities. This will include the following responsibilities -
- Evaluate accounting activities for alignment with applicable statutes, regulations, and standards of the federal government, and with leading practices.
- Identify needed updates and review with client staff.
- Evaluate completeness and accuracy of data.
- Assess efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
- Review processes and systems against best practices
- Consider and evaluate stakeholder needs
- Look for strengths and weaknesses of financial processes across organizations and systems
- Identify needed enhancements to policies, activities, and systems
- Map key business processes affected by policy and functional changes
- Develop improvements to governance and management
- Create process change recommendations
- Contribute to creation of client reports on findings and recommendations
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations to colleagues and client representatives
- Prepare and edit standard operating procedures for user and leadership audiences
- Guide development of business process documentation and standardization of policies
- Lead organizational analysis and development efforts
- Coordinate work with client teams to help ensure people and process goals are aligned with requirements
- Facilitate work and communication between client and consulting staff and executives
- Interpret documentation standards and preparing documentation according to the standards

Required Qualifications
- 5 - 6 years of relevant experience
- Four years of overall experience in business analysis and process improvement
- Related experience in federal accounting, budgeting, or financial management
- Strong consulting and analytical skills
- Ability to support discussions with clients and stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently and on small, focused consulting teams in a dynamic environment
- Focus on quality delivery and ability to incorporate constructive feedback
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in processes or operations at one or more US federal agencies
- Experience in creation of polices and standard operating procedures
