Job Description

Position Summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS task order. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications in a cloud-native environment using Kubernetes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications in a cloud-native environment using Kubernetes.
  • Proficiently manage Kubernetes cluster orchestration, container networking, Helm chart deployment, and automation of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure services including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Implement security best practices and utilize Kubernetes monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in Kubernetes administration.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, troubleshooting containerized applications, and implementing service mesh architectures such as Istio or Linkerd.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
  • OR 5 years of equivalent experience in Kubernetes administration.
