Job Description

Position Summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a JIRA Administrator to support USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS task order. This is a part-time (0.50 FTE) remote position starting in July 2026 with a period of performance of 1 base year plus 3 option years. The role involves configuring, managing, and optimizing JIRA as the primary ticketing system for work order tracking and workflow automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and optimize JIRA as the primary ticketing system for work order tracking and workflow automation.
  • Administer JIRA including workflow development, permission management, and integrations with DevOps tools.
  • Support issue resolution and system performance enhancements using strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in JIRA administration.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring JIRA workflows, managing issue tracking systems, and integrating JIRA with GitLab, Confluence, or other DevOps tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, dashboard customization, and service-level agreement (SLA) monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • OR 5 years of equivalent experience in JIRA administration.
