Job Description
MTSI is seeking a Lead Configuration Manager to support the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) Program Office at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This role requires leadership capability alongside advanced expertise in Configuration and Data Management (C/DM) across Air Force acquisition, development, production, and sustainment activities.
The selected individual will collaborate closely with government personnel and prime contractors to ensure that contractor C/DM processes align with Air Force and AFLCMC requirements. Work will include Configuration Management, Data Management, Technical Order Management, Engineering Data Management, and Deficiency Reporting.
Responsibilities
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Conduct Configuration Management planning, identification, change control, status accounting, and audits.
• Work with internal and external customers to analyze CM issues.
• Support internal and external audits and corrective action activities.
• Lead and perform C/DM tasks across acquisition development, production, and sustainment phases in support of Systems Engineering processes.
• Create and refine Configuration/Data Management and Technical Order processes in accordance with Air Force and AFLCMC instructions, guidelines, and standards.
• Collaborate with prime contractors to ensure proper execution of contractor C/DM methods.
• Provide functional expertise and guidance to support organizational goals and mission requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of Configuration/Data Management (C/DM) experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Configuration Management, Data Management, Technical Order Management, Engineering Data Management, and Deficiency Reporting.
• Familiarity with SAE EIA-649C, EIA-649-1A, and applicable military/industry standards and handbooks.
• Strong communication, leadership, and training skills, with the initiative to work independently.
