Under the direction of the Program Manager, you are the primary point of contact for the supported customer and related customer stakeholders. Be proactive, responsive, and effective in handling all customer communications and issues. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze current and historical Planning, Programming, Budgeting Execution (PPBE) data and extract, analyze, and submit financial data from the PPBE to build financial products, for example building of spend plans.
- Draft and submit responses to financial action items on assigned programs, and draft weekly, monthly, and quarterly briefs for review.
- Develop, prepare and update fiscal metrics from multiple funding sources to track and report to leadership. This includes communication with external agencies to reconcile fiscal data for planning and preparing portfolio and sub-portfolio fiscal entries and compilation of funding profiles for planning and execution across multiple years and multiple Defense Business Systems (DBS)
- Support analysis and input into the Monthly Variance explanations, re-phase obligations and expenditures.
- Reconcile accounting logs and submit daily and weekly financial reports.
- Prepare funding document packages and input funding document data.
- Record, track, and update funding document and spend-plan data within CERBERUS.
- Retrieve unliquidated reports via DAI, analyze the data, communicate with the activity for verification of final invoice submittal, and then prepare and process the recouping of unobligated and unliquidated funds.
- Track, verify, and reconcile that the funding de-commitments and de-obligations are posted to DAI as soon as financial status is received from the performing activities.
- Research financial records and input data in accordance with the command's Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DARQ) guidelines as well as DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR) Volume 3, Chapter 8. This would include trend analysis on outstanding records.
Requirements
Education, Experience, Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field) or equivalent experience
- Four or more years' experience as a financial analyst within the Department of Defense, USMC experience preferred
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Advanced Knowledge of DAI and CERBERUS
- Proficient in data analytics and electronic data research
- Familiar with DoD fiscal terms and processes
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to interact efficiently with Military Personnel and Civilians
- Ability to pay attention to details
