BLUEHAWK is seeking a detail-oriented and security-focused Special Security Technician - Junior to support Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security operations within a secure government environment. The selected candidate will assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) in administering SCI security procedures, ensuring compliance with Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and agency-specific security regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience handling classified materials, and familiarity with SCI security protocols, visitor control procedures, and secure facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) with the administration and oversight of SCI security programs and daily security operations.
  • Support the control, accountability, and safeguarding of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and classified materials.
  • Process SCI visit certifications, visitor access requests, and clearance verification actions for military, government civilian, and contractor personnel.
  • Conduct SCI indoctrinations, debriefings, refresher briefings, and security awareness training.
  • Maintain SCI access records, nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), and associated personnel security documentation.
  • Provide guidance and assistance regarding SCI eligibility, nomination packages, and access request procedures.
  • Assist with inspections and audits of classified storage areas, SCIFs, secure containers, and associated security documentation.
  • Research, review, and prepare classified material control reports, security recommendations, and compliance documentation.
  • Support compliance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and local security policies.
  • Monitor and maintain proper handling, storage, transmission, and destruction procedures for classified material.
  • Coordinate with internal and external security offices to ensure compliance with established security standards.
  • Perform additional security-related duties as assigned in support of mission requirements.


Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required. CI Poly Preferred.
  • Experience supporting SCI security operations, classified material control, or special security administration within DoD or IC environments.
  • Familiarity with SCIF operations, SCI access procedures, and classified document handling requirements.
  • Knowledge of IC and DoD security regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience maintaining personnel security records and visitor access documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and security tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced secure environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Special Security Offices (SSO) or Special Access Program (SAP) environments.
  • Familiarity with DISS, Scattered Castles, JADE, or related security databases.
  • Previous experience conducting security briefings and compliance inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Desired Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.

Desired Education :
    • Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. An additional 4 years of experience in the specific labor category, for a total of 7 years of experience in the specific labor category, may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
