Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Pay: $118,700–$209,300 (experience/location dependent)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer IV – Avionics to join the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program as an Electronics Design Engineer for the Thrust Vector Control (TVC) avionics. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team to develop, produce, and certify a TVC electronics unit, supporting a critical strategic missile program. You will participate in design reviews, material and failure review boards, troubleshoot test anomalies, and contribute to product certification and integration into the missile system. The ideal candidate has strong analog/digital avionics experience and a track record of delivering high?reliability electronics in aerospace or missile applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Work on a cross-functional team to support development, production, and certification of a Thrust Vector Controller (TVC) electronics unit on the NGI program.
Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and ensuring design compliance with requirements and standards.
Serve on Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) to help disposition hardware discrepancies and failures.
Resolve test anomalies through hands-on troubleshooting and structured root-cause analysis, coordinating corrective actions.
Contribute to the End Item Data Package (EIDP) for product certification and support integration of electronics assemblies into the overall system.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combined education/experience.
5+ years of professional experience in electronics engineering.
Experience in the development and production of analog and/or digital electronic circuitry for avionics or high-reliability systems.
Experience supporting product acceptance testing and requirements verification.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in launch vehicle or missile systems, including propulsion integration and upper-stage or spacecraft control systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively with propulsion, structures, avionics, and software teams.
Experience as an Electronics Product Engineer certifying avionics hardware and its interfaces as ready for flight.
Experience developing systems integration and test plans, and supporting system and subsystem integration test execution, including environmental and ground testing.
Proficient presentation skills and familiarity with presentation tools; strong written communication.
Knowledge of subsystem/system requirements and associated processes.
Material Review Board (MRB) experience and ability to interpret electrical and wiring schematics.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills at card, unit, and system levels.
Experience with ECAD/drawing tools such as Mentor Graphics, ORCAD, Zuken, or comparable packages.
