Location: Englewood, CO (Onsite Only – supporting Titusville, FL operations)
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Pay: $104,500–$184,115 (experience/location dependent)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly motivated Electronics Engineering Associate Manager to join the Missile Systems Engineering & Integration Team in support of the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension (D5LE) Avionics / Test Missile Kit (TMK) engineering. In this role, you will provide both technical and people leadership for a portion of the FBM Electronics team, managing electronics hardware development, production, and test activities while also performing full-spectrum personnel management (staffing, development, and performance). The ideal candidate combines strong electronics engineering experience with demonstrated leadership in complex missile or avionics programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Communicate technical status, risks, and issues to program leadership, technical leadership, functional leadership, and external customers.
Perform personnel management for a segment of the FBM Electronics team, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary actions, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Manage the research, design, development, and testing of a variety of electronic equipment and systems for the FBM D5LE Avionics/TMK program.
Oversee failure investigations and material disposition for electronic hardware at CCA, unit, and system levels, coordinating corrective actions and hardware dispositions.
Participate in and support technical reviews and audits, ensuring that electronics designs and processes meet program and customer requirements.
Support program execution by helping to balance cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk in decision making.
Guide the successful completion of significant projects and multi-discipline team efforts by applying both technical knowledge and leadership skills.
Interface directly with government customers for requirements definition, planning, avionics integration/operations, and performance briefings.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
8+ years of professional experience in electronics engineering or closely related fields.
Demonstrated experience in managing or designing electronics hardware, including production and test of electronics hardware.
Experience or strong willingness to lead teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Master of Science (MS) or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong teaming and leadership skills.
Ability to balance cost, schedule, and risk in technical and programmatic decisions.
Experience guiding significant projects and multi-discipline team efforts to successful completion.
Strong interpersonal skills with peers, superiors, subordinates, and customers.
Experience in missile design, development, and testing, and program execution in development programs.
Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor flight hardware development.
Demonstrated experience working directly with government customers on requirements, planning, integration/operations, and performance briefings.
Demonstrated experience managing engineering personnel development and performance assessment.
