What You Will Be Doing

Staff RF Engineers are responsible for:

• Supporting the development and production of complex multi-function modules in all phases of the product life cycle.

• Working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.

• Designing and developing circuits, modules, and sub-systems from initial concept through prototyping and full rate production.

• Acting independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the implementation of operational products.

• Mentoring less experienced engineers on our team.

• Collaborating with other engineering disciplines including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technical and manufacturing support personnel.

• Working with technical and manufacturing support personnel to ensure successful product development and production

This position is in Andover, Massachusetts - Located approximately 30 miles northwest of Boston, Andover embodies New England charm. Situated near historic Lowell, Massachusetts and Nashua, New Hampshire, the area offers a unique blend of colonial history, excellent schools, shopping, and dining options. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or BS Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) accepted plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional engineering experience or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Experience with troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues for RF applications.

Experience with the use of RF microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance and be able to obtain at least an Interim Secret Clearance before starting the position, therefore you must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field.

Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.

Relevant experience in the defense electronics industry, including architecture development for RF systems.

Expertise with RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits. Prior RF design experience is preferred.

Demonstrated experience with microwave simulation tools for RF system design.

Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques.

Expertise with technical documentation such as specifications, schematic drawings, and test data.

Experience testing microwave products at the RF circuit card assembly (CCA), module, or subassembly level.

Experience with customer interface including technical presentations.

Hands-on hardware experience.

Familiarity with production and manufacturing environments.

Experience with datalink or T/R module architecture.

Ability to lead failure investigations on production or technical issues.

Ability work in a team collaborative environment especially with manufacturing and industrial engineers and/or operator on production support.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $142,000 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
