Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience managing and directing installation support services by formulating goals, policies and objectives for the installation. Experience providing administrative program direction and supervision to key civilian staff Directors and principals on a variety of subjects such as levels and changes in support services, reduction of cost of government operations, privatization of government activities and facilities, and local cooperative initiatives and efforts. Experience formulating budget plans to improve productivity, cost effectiveness and efficiency of installation activities.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Additional information
- Manage the day-to-day garrison and tenant activity operations for a multi-mission site which is geographically separated from the Garrison.
- Provide administrative program direction to various supervisors and/or site leads and special staff involved in a variety of functional program areas.
- Formulate goals, policies, and objectives for the garrison and implements an internal control system to produce a sound system of accountability for the site as part of the overall garrison management controls.
- Provide administrative program direction to various civilian directors and special staff involved in a wide variety of functional program areas.
- Monitor the implementation of higher-level policies and guidance and make recommendations to adapt guidance for local situations.

- This is a centrally managed position. Incumbent may be subject to rotational assignments based on the needs of the command.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station, including the Garrison Headquarters for meetings, appointment boards, etc. approximately 10% of the time.
- This position requires a valid, state-issued drivers license, pass the USAREUR-AF Drivers Test, have the ability to operate a motor vehicle, and must be insurable in order to travel to other locations in the USAG Poland area of responsibility.
- This assignment in Poland is unaccompanied. Your dependents may not accompany you on this overseas tour at government expense or with any accompanied tour benefits.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
