Specialized Experience: : One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes supporting TRICARE benefits and maintaining enrollment, inquiry, and counseling processes to enhance the operational readiness and efficiency of the Military Health System.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business or Public Administration with course work reflecting health care administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Additional information
- Receive inquiries directly from beneficiaries, DHA components, other agencies, and various interested parties seeking information or assistance.
- Coordinate with appropriate points of contact throughout the Military Health System, including the Managed Care Support Contractor, to best meet beneficiary needs for information or assistance.
- Conduct briefings on health benefits for Active Duty and Reserve Component members and their families, and provide or coordinate policy briefings for retirees and other beneficiaries as requested.
- Manage an enrolled population of beneficiaries assigned to multiple Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMHs).
- Serve as the MTF liaison with the Managed Care Support Contractor (MCSC) for all enrollment-related matters.
- Utilize a variety of computer systems, including the PCM Reassignment Web Application, PCM Web Research Tool, General Inquiry of the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), and MHSG, in the performance of duties.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
