We are seeking a highly skilled structural engineer to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

The annual pay range for the Structural Analyst position is $120,000 to $200,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. We are seeking a highly skilled structural engineer to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform stress analysis of mechanical systems for space applications
- Work with a multi-disciplined team to provide structural design trades and design/analysis assessments of aerospace systems
- Design tests for model validation
- Create analysis data packages and documentation to support peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to engineering teams and customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of static, fatigue, dynamics, damage tolerance and other structural analysis methods
- Experience with Implicit/Explicit Structural Finite Element Modeling/Analysis (FEM/FEA)
- Experience with multi-physics or shock dynamics modeling
- Experience with the various elements of mechanical design, including selection of structural materials, adhesive and fastener selection
- Experience using parametric CAD software to create models of assemblies, parts and drawings
