Job Description
The UC-35 Cessna Citation Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) services, repairs and overhauls the assigned UC-35 aircraft and subsystems to ensure airworthiness. Will utilize technical data to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and repair or replace faulty components.

- Operationally checks repaired or modified systems for proper operation.
- UC-35 Citation Avionics experience will be required.
- Adjusts, repairs and/or replaces electrical wiring and aircraft system avionics.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics component and system troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
- A valid (FAA) A&P certificate and a minimum of Seven (7) years of hands-on UC-35 Aircraft mechanic and UC-35 Avionics mechanic experience is Required. May specialize in UC-35 aircraft Avionics systems.
- US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance to work on this military installation.
- Performs quality maintenance on assigned aircraft in accordance with federal aviation regulations, original equipment manufacturers, or military technical orders as specified in the statement of work instructions.
- Read and interpret manufacturers and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals.
- Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Working knowledge of avionics systems, including maintenance parameters, systems operations, limitations and technical orders.
- Replace or repair worn or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
- Repair and replace aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using
- Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
- Repair or replace defective engine parts and reassembles and install engine in aircraft.
- Perform other qualified duties as requested or assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
- A minimum of Seven (7) years hands-on UC-35 Citation A&P Mechanic experience, with UC-35 Avionics mechanic experience is Required.
- Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance and avionics/electrical experience on the assigned aircraft (UC-35) during the past 12 months is preferred.
- Six (6) months of Avionics, flight line and overhaul & inspection experience are needed.
- Maintenance Training Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training is desired.
- Knowledge of aircraft sub-systems, including maintenance parameter, systems operation, limitations, and technical orders.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depths.
- Mechanic Tools are required, must provide own shadowed/etched Tools and Toolbox. (Recruiter will provide Tool requirements and policy, the company will ship the toolbox to Japan).
- A valid US Passport Required for International travel and Deployment to Japan. The passport must have a minimum of 18 months remaining prior to its expiration date.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance, and for access to this facility.
(AR95-20) A&P Mechanic Pre-employment Medical/Physical Required:
- All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years. (*BMI under 40 is required).
Physical and Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to become qualified and perform engine runs for the aircraft type (UC-35) they are assigned to support.
- Proven track record demonstrating adaptability to change and the ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
- Must have minimum 20/100 near and far vision, correctable to 20/20.
- May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to carry, push or pull up to and may exceed 50 pounds.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to height of four feet.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
- Must be able to travel to and between remote locations in austere and/or hostile environments.
