QA / Test Engineer

Foxhole Technology is seeking a highly responsible experienced quality engineer with strong background in test automation and manual testing for an ongoing engagement in support of a federal agency. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and performance, and will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to validate requirements/user stories, identify defects, and promote best-in-class QA practices across the development lifecycle of the application, with a balance between automated and manual testing.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Works with the functional and development teams to identify, document, and execute test cases
• Designs, implements, tests and maintains automated test scripts/frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Executes manual test cases for new features, edge cases, and scenarios where automation is not practical.
• Performs exploratory testing to uncover usability, performance, and reliability issues.
• Analyzes requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Reports, tracks, and verifies defects using issue management systems.
• Partners with developers and DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provides clear test documentation, metrics, and quality reports to stakeholders.
• Advocates for quality engineering practices and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Develops, implements, and maintains testing best practices to enhance the quality of deliverables.
• Ensures adherence to testing standards and processes across all scrum teams.
• Continuously evaluates and improves testing methodologies to adapt to project needs and technological advancements.
• Manages the maintenance and enhancement of the regression test suite to ensure ongoing product stability.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years progressive QA testing experience in an agile development environment, with demonstratable team leadership experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Must have experience establishing and maintaining a process for evaluating software and associated documentation using required tools for quality control.
• Experience implementing process for evaluating the quality of work performed as assessed against the functional, technical and performance requirements of the contract.
