Job Description:

Our Space Operations Directorate teams respected space operations subject matter experts with technologists, instructors, developers, testers, and mission partners to deliver meaningful operational value.
The Space Operations Training and Support team is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst / Space Operations Training and Support Instructor with hands-on Space Domain Awareness experience, strong technical training skills, and practical experience supporting Integrated Solutions for Situational Awareness (ISSA) related tools and users across joint, coalition, and multi-classification environments.
The successful candidate will deliver mission-focused training, maintain version-aware courseware, support operators and analysts using ISSA capabilities, coordinate with software development and test teams, and help users translate tool outputs into operational decisions. This role requires an operator-centered mindset, strong customer focus, and the ability to work across live mission support, classroom training, virtual instruction, documentation, and field troubleshooting.

- Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training for Web-ISSA, ISSA-Workstation, Satellite Reconnaissance Advanced Notification/Satellite Vulnerability (SATRAN/SATVUL), and related Space Domain Awareness capabilities.
- Deliver in-person, virtual, and on-site training to new operators, experienced analysts, joint units, coalition partners, and government mission stakeholders.
- Build task-based and scenario-based instruction that connects tool workflows to operational outcomes, including satellite vulnerability analysis, SATRAN/SATVUL use cases, space object status, and mission decision support.
- Maintain courseware as tools and interfaces change, including identifying affected lessons, screenshots, workflows, practical exercises, student guides, instructor materials, and help content.
- Support development and update of courses such as Web ISSA Overview, Essential Tools, SATVUL Step-by-Step, ISSA/Operational Security (OPSEC) Protection, ISSA-Wks training, and other related Space Domain Awareness (SDA) training products.
- Perform job, mission, and task analysis to create learning objectives, practical exercises, evaluation criteria, test items, and training support packages.
- Provide responsive user support for account access, installation/configuration questions, tool behavior, version mismatches, licensing messages, and local troubleshooting, coordinating with help desk and base support personnel when needed.
- Support Five Eyes (FVEY) and partner-nation users with clear, step-by-step guidance for retrieving, installing, configuring, and validating approved ISSA-Wks builds and supporting files.
- Work with developers, testers, instructional designers, program managers, and space operations Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate tool behavior, identify defects, update training materials, and support release rollouts.
- Operate effectively across multiple classification levels and networks, applying sound judgment regarding what can be developed, discussed, stored, or distributed in unclassified, SECRET, TOP SECRET, and partner releasable environments.
- Support preparation and submission of training plans, training materials, documentation updates, and customer deliverables consistent with contract requirements and quality expectations.
- Conduct formative, summative, and operational evaluations to generate feedback and metrics used to improve training effectiveness, user readiness, and mission support quality.
Required Skills :
Space Operations and SDA Experience
- Familiarity with space C2 mission relationships and operational environments such as -, CSpOC, NSDC, or comparable joint/combined space operations centers.
- Operational experience in SDA, space surveillance, missile warning, orbital warfare, space control, space operations center support, or closely related mission areas.
- Experience supporting operators, analysts, or mission partners who require space object status, threat awareness, conjunction assessment, orbital analysis, catalog maintenance, or operational decision support.
- Working knowledge of orbital mechanics concepts, state vectors, reentry/de-orbit support, satellite breakup/debris events, maneuver planning, or GEO mission considerations is strongly valued.
Instruction and Course Development
- Experience developing and leading in-person, virtual, and mission-focused technical training for military, government, contractor, joint, or coalition audiences.
- Ability to convert operational workflows into clear learning objectives, practical exercises, course materials, instructor guides, student guides, evaluations, and technical documentation.
- Experience adapting instruction based on audience size, operational background, classification level, network access, tool version, and mission need.
Security, Networks, and Collaboration
- Experience working in classified, multi-network, or partner-releasable environments supporting U.S. government, DoD, IC, or allied mission users.
- Understanding of classification, releasability, export-control, OPSEC, and information protection considerations for training, documentation, screenshots, and tool support.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with software developers, testers, instructional designers, program managers, space operations SMEs, customers, and mission partners.

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

- Ability to work at multiple classification levels and comply with all customer, program, security, export-control, and information-protection requirements.

- Experience using Systems Tool Kit (STK), FreeFlyer, or other orbital propagation software.
- Experience in space surveillance crew or analyst roles, catalog maintenance, conjunction assessment, orbital analysis, special missions, experimental satellite operations, electronic warfare, or space control units.
- Experience supporting atmospheric impact predictions, reentry analysis, state vector products, impact corridor graphics, satellite breakup analysis, or debris tracking/categorization for U.S. government stakeholders.
- Experience planning or supporting on-orbit maneuvers, rendezvous and proximity operations, GEO operations, operational test, tactics development, or experimental spacecraft missions.
- Deep user familiarity with ISSA-Wks across multiple versions, Web ISSA 8.x releases, SATRAN, SATVUL, or CAPE-adjacent training and demonstration support.
- Experience training U.S., Joint, Coalition, FVEY, Army, Space Force, Air Force, or other service component users through classified networks or operational training environments.
- Experience using or supporting eLearning and training development tools such as Camtasia, Snagit, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Captivate, Oxygen XML Editor, Articulate/Rise/Storyline, or comparable tools.
- Experience working in Agile software development, test, release management, defect reporting, user acceptance, or training-update cycles.
- Experience integrating multiple intelligence disciplines or mission areas across air, cyberspace, land, maritime, missile defense, and space domains.
