Job Description
Responsibilities
Serve as the Hawaii focal point and subject matter expert for Program Manager C2 Transport for PdM Network Modernization across ATH, OTM, and SATCOM networks.
Identify and report problems and discrepancies, recommend resolutions, and escalate to program leadership when necessary.
Manage and document system configurations, trouble incidents, test procedures, and test execution and results.
Configure, validate, and test Tactical Networks systems delivered to units.
Provide technical leadership to define required actions, schedules, and resolve conflicting viewpoints related to support operations and Tactical Networks systems.
Coordinate system development tasks with system engineering leads to address integration challenges and new requirements.
Provide systems engineering oversight for development and testing of SATCOM systems, baseband networking equipment, and related software.
Coordinate across embedded support teams to gain concurrence and implement plans of action to meet program objectives.
Represent our client at planning conferences conducted by units or other organizations.
Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to coordinate and integrate program operations and objectives.
Develop and present briefings on systems engineering, network architecture planning, and test status.
Support network planning, setup, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and teardown.
Work closely with unit CFSRs, S6 staff, and other personnel to coordinate activities.
Support occasional travel and uncommon tours including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
Experience Requirements
Minimum eight years of related tactical network engineering experience, including configuration, validation, testing, and troubleshooting of ATH, OTM, and SATCOM networks.
Proven experience managing system configurations, incidents, and test documentation.
Background providing systems engineering oversight for SATCOM systems, baseband networking equipment, and software development.
Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering tasks and resolving integration challenges.
Ability to develop and present technical briefings to leadership and stakeholders.
Knowledge of network services such as DNS, DHCP, Mail, Active Directory, SharePoint, and other user services (preferred).
Experience with PdM Network Modernization products (preferred).
Specialized experience gained as an engineer in industry or as part of active, reserve, or National Guard units (preferred).
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Testing, or a related field, or an additional seven years of related tactical network engineering experience in lieu of the degree.
