Everforth ECS is seeking a Requirements Writer / Business Analyst to work in our Merrifield, VA office.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with ley stakeholders in the US Postal Services' Technology Acquisition and Program Management (TAPM) group identifying, documenting, and managing functional and technical requirements for new systems, processes, and enhancements. Responsibilities will also include preparing statements of work (SOW), software release documents, and documentation for training and communication methods for the field. This includes assisting in development and tracking of equipment deployment in support of TAPM and USPS Engineering Systems programs. This will include, but is not limited to: presentations, charts, diagrams, etc.
Note: Candidates must be able to obtain a USPS Public Trust Clearance. This requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (Green Card), and the ability to pass a stringent background check.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, draft, write and edit technical documents related to equipment and technology standards, specifications, instruction manuals, report publications and brochures.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, to include, but not limited to MS Office 2010. Includes MS Project and Visio.
- Review and edit software release documentation including software requirements specifications, software design documentation, and requirements traceability matrixes.
- Prepare and edit Statements of Work (SOW's) for major programs
- Assist in developing project schedules
- Document program management processes and create presentations for them
- Assist in consolidating and coordinating cost estimates into a standard template for business cases
- Assist Technology Acquisition & Program Management and other departments in Engineering in conducting equipment evaluations, reviews and potentially participate in on site field activities
- Assist in tracking and deploying production equipment to the Field. Assist in resolving issues related to deployment.
- Provide technical and procedural guidance relating to the development and management of technical documents.
- Prepare formal letters, reports, summaries detailing program management activities
- Prepare and distribute work product documents to end customers
- Write and update technical specifications for automation equipment procurement
- Provide input on program management & guidance on documentation support for TAPM related products and modifications.
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 3+ years) working as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, and Technical Writer in equipment and technology-based acquisition projects.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for a non-technical audience.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps), process modeling software (e.g., Visio, VersionOne), and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical/scientific field is preferred84.
- Certifications (Preferred): Relevant professional certifications such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) are a plus.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with project management and software development methodologies, including Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall. Process improvement, Lean or Six Sigma
- Federal experience, specifically within the Postal Service, is a plus
