Job Description

Valiant is seeking a mission-ready Supply Technician to p erform Supply Technician and Procurement duties in the Supply Section of the Training Support Center (TSC) with responsibility for providing logistical, property management, and storage support for TSC activities along with Procurement planning and tracking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works with minimum supervision from the TASC Manager working under the Training Support System (TSS) program at the National Training Center (NTC}.
  • Ability to maintain a Corporate Credit card with a continual monthly limit of 50k purchasing power along with over 10k purchases tracked through our internal automated system.
  • Must be able to obtain and continually maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Researching products and negotiating terms with vendors, including price, margin, exclusivity, and delivery terms.
  • Responsible for managing janitorial, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and general supply inventory, evaluating quality goods, and sticking within a budget and adhering to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) for government contracting.
  • Receiving tracking and processing purchase requests, placing and tracking orders, creating, and maintaining inventory and quality assurance along with maintaining accurate records of all purchases from beginning to end.
  • Accurately filling out biweekly credit cards reports to include receipt documentation of materials or services reported to corporate partners and tracked through the Program Manager for government reporting purposes.
  • Works side by side with the TASC Manager to accurately track all CLINs and money forecasted, spent and charged to the government from the request to the final billing.
  • Work with staff across all sections to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on current supply and demand.
  • Receives, stores and stocks materials, supplies, tools, and spares while assessing the quality of stock received and escalates any discrepancies to management.
  • Responsible for Supply Property and individually signed Section Hand Receipts including continual updates of locations of each item in a master listing.
  • Conducts property inventory of all equipment to include working with the G3 PBO to submit proper documentation, forms, memos, and receipts for newly cataloged items.
  • Compiles and maintains locations of training aids equipment in storeroom, warehouse and/or storage.
  • Counts, sorts, or inventories incoming/outgoing items to verify the accuracy of receiving/shipping and invoice.
  • Extensively research specialty items and track inventories of stock levels of specialty items or materials on hand needed for unique customer requests.
  • Adjust inventory records to include quantities, description, issue, location, and vendor updates.
  • Performs cross-leveling tasks to include supporting work in other sections as required to achieve mission.
  • Provides customer assistance and advice in a proficient and professional.
  • Ensures adherence to Company Policies, practices, and Provide equipment/training aids to support Rotational.
  • Ensure safety procedures, standards and policies are followed and quality control standards are met.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and understand supply publications and manufactures parts and specification.
  • Document and maintain accurate status of requisition actions through delivery of items.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

SECURITY REQUIREMENT: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or equivalent.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 4+ years of specialized experience in the Supply and/or Material Control field .
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate status of requisition actions through delivery of time.
  • Experience must clearly show formal training and/or on-the-job training in the requisitioning, issue, warehousing, control, and documentation of property.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license.
  • Must obtain a Common Access Card to utilize government operating systems.
  • Ability to obtain a Company Purchase Card to execute company purchases.
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office and Excel must.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and display adequate time management skills.
  • Must have experience in working with the FAR and other US Government regulations pertinent to property control, usage, and appropriate disposition of government property.
  • Excellent communication skills when interfacing with military and civilian customers or management personnel. Must be clear, concise, and proficient in all verbal and written instructions.
  • Travel within the customer location.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Office/Warehouse/Shop environment. frequently outdoors.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, desert pollen, extreme heat and cold associated with desert environment and natural conditions existing on Fort Irwin.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions climbing in or on military or commercial equipment.
