Overview

LMI is looking for an Advanced Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to design, build, and operate the enterprise infrastructure that enables secure, scalable, and mission-ready technology solutions. This is a hands-on, builder-lead role combining strategic vision with deep technical execution across cloud, hybrid infrastructure, DevSecOps platforms, and enterprise services. The role focuses on creating infrastructure patterns, standards, and platforms that integrate seamlessly with enterprise AI systems, business applications, IT service delivery, and cybersecurity programs, enabling teams to deploy solutions rapidly, reliably, and securely.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
• Define and implement enterprise architecture patterns and technical standards to support scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
• Design, build, and operate DevSecOps platforms and CI/CD pipelines that accelerate solution delivery across applications and enterprise platforms
• Architect and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure to support diverse workloads, including compute, storage, virtualization, and containerized services
• Build and maintain secure network architectures, including segmentation, hybrid connectivity, and operational guardrails
• Manage infrastructure lifecycle operations: provisioning, patching, upgrades, monitoring, capacity planning, and end-of-life management
• Implement and enforce security boundaries and hardening standards across all infrastructure layers, in alignment with enterprise cybersecurity policies
• Support integration with enterprise AI platforms, business applications, and IT service delivery workflows, ensuring infrastructure enables adoption and operational readiness
• Collaborate with platform engineering, AI, and application teams to deliver scalable, reusable infrastructure and platform services
• Establish standards and tooling for observability, automation, and operational reliability, ensuring infrastructure is monitored and manageable at scale
• Provide guidance and technical leadership for technology portfolio initiatives, ensuring infrastructure aligns with strategic objectives and supports emerging business and technology needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, and platform engineering
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps platforms and automated CI/CD pipelines
• Strong expertise in cloud and hybrid environments, compute, storage, and virtualization
platforms
• Experience designing and operating secure network architectures and hybrid connectivity
• Knowledge of security boundary management, hardening, and operational controls
• Experience managing the full infrastructure lifecycle, including automation, monitoring, and
capacity planning
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) and automation
tooling
• Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams, translating requirements into scalable
infrastructure solutions
• Strong communication skills and experience leading technical teams by example

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise AI and analytics platforms, supporting integration of AI workloads
into operational environments
• Familiarity with enterprise applications and IT service delivery platforms
• Experience building internal developer platforms or reusable infrastructure services
• Knowledge of zero trust networking and hybrid connectivity patterns
• Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring platforms
• Exposure to regulated or security-sensitive environments
• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.

The target salary range for this position is $150,000-$190,000.
