Northrop Grumman is seeking Manufacturing & Operations Technician Intern for a Part Time (20 hours per week), 10 Week summer internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space sector facility on-site in Gilbert, AZ and will be on First Shift (Part time hours will be between 6:00AM - 3:30PM)
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Cable Manufacturing Technician Team for a 10 week internship, with the opportunity to be converted to a full time employee in the future, dependent on performance, timing, and budget.

$16.00 - $25.75
At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
Primary Level Salary Range: $16.00 - $25.75
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies
- Use work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical manuals, assemble aerospace cables/harnesses to specifications
- Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment
- Determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process .
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Be a student who is enrolled in a Community College or Technical Trade School and pursuing a technical AA degree and/or working towards completion of the Cable & Wire Harness Certification through the Cable Wire Harness Bootcamp (AIT 128 Course)
- Be available to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
- Experience with hand tools, often requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Able to read, interpret and record measurements
- Available to work 20 hours per week on 1st Shift (6:00AM - 3:30PM)
- US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC-A-620 certification Cable Wire Harness Bootcamp (AIT 128 Course)
- Cables and Wire Harness experience
- Soldering or J-STD Certified
