As a Contamination Control Engineer in the Core Contamination Parts Materials and Processes (CPMP) group, you'll work on a broad range of projects, in an operations environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. You will provide subject matter expertise to technical engineering, payload operations, satellite processing support, and support operations to a broad range of Lockheed Martin Programs. You will be a part of the LM Space Contamination Control Engineering (CCE) team and may support programs at any portion of the spacecraft lifecycle. Working side by side with designers, test and manufacturing engineers, you'll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new technology to survive in the most hostile of environments
In this role you will:
• Provide support to Lockheed Martin based Denver programs by analyzing test data, and other engineering duties.
• Perform Contamination Control technical engineering assignments
• Participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of materials & processes, prepare technical and progress reports, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
• Coordinate with other teams such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement

Basic Qualifications:
• Contamination, materials or process (PMP) related background and/or field of study
• Experience with cleanrooms, precision cleaning, materials testing, or thermal vacuum test
• Familiar with industry contamination standards and/or analytical equipment
• Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance; US Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Understanding and application of IEST-STD-CC1246, ISO-14644, ASTM E 1548, analytical laboratory equipment or techniques that apply to specialized contamination monitoring equipment and tools
• Non-conformance and failure analysis disposition experience
• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
• Experience implementing contamination control for space applications or related field
• Experience with precision cleaning of hardware or producing verification products for government customers
• Knowledge of Materials and Processes for product development, improvement, design, application and production
• Comfortable working around critical, high value hardware
• Experience with system level Integration and Test including environmental requirements related to the assembly of Space Systems.
• Experience creating and implementing cleanroom hardware, facility and personnel requirements
• Ability to create and update instructions and procedures.
• Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates
• Active or Current Top Secret

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
