Work You'll Do
As a PROJECT - Senior Consultant, Controllership on the Controllership and Treasury Transformation team, you will be responsible for:
- Analyze financial transactions and supporting documentation to determine appropriate proprietary and budgetary accounting treatment and general ledger impact
- Prepare, validate, and post journal entries and reconciliations to support quarter-end and year-end close activities
- Support governmental financial reporting in alignment with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-136 and internal reporting requirements
- Execute controls and documentation activities in alignment with OMB Circular A-123 and established standard operating procedures
- Follow standard operating procedures and accounting policies to produce complete, accurate, timely, and audit-ready workpapers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve accounting variances, address data issues, and improve close and reporting processes

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Active TS SCI clearance with polygraph
- 1+ years of experience in governmental accounting, including OMB Circular A-136, OMB Circular A-123, proprietary and budgetary accounting, and financial reporting
- Ability to work onsite 100% of the time in McLean, Virginia
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience preparing and posting journal entries and reconciliations
- Experience supporting quarter-end and year-end close activities
- Experience developing or supporting governmental financial reports
- Experience executing controls and documentation activities in a regulated environment
